Dr. Joe Pagan founded Kentucky Equine Research in 1988. From the
start KER had a vision and a goal. The vision was a world wide organization
dedicated to increasing the knowledge of nutrition and physiology
in the horse industry. The goal was to use this knowledge to formulate
better more nutritionally balanced feeds through commercially successful
team members. Better feeds result in sounder, healthier horses.
Today
KER is one of the largest private research organizations in the
world. Published material originating from the KER center in central
Kentucky rivals the largest of universities.
The
most fundamental and important benefit to being a KER team member
is the assurance that the feeds you represent are a result of the
most up to date nutritional information available.
Information
Information
on scores of nutritional topics related to nutrition is available
in book form, on CD’s, and on the KER website.
Regular conferences are held in Kentucky, where team members can
hear the latest research information and meet fellow team members
from all over the world and KER staff. Tours of the research facility
and prominent horse operations are usually part of the program as
well.
